Carvr vs Emailify vs Email Love (2026)
15 October 2026 · 8 min read
Emailify and Email Love are the two Figma email plugins most people meet first. Both turn a design into coded HTML. Carvr takes the other route, turning a finished design into image sections in a native template. Which is right comes down to one question. Do you want to build every email from a component library, or send the design your designer already finished?
A note on fairness. We make Carvr. Every fact here about Emailify and Email Love comes from their own sites and docs, read on 15 October 2026, and links to the page it came from.
The short answer
- Emailify and Email Love are design systems inside Figma. You build the email from their components, and they export coded, responsive HTML with live text to many platforms.
- Carvr starts where the design is finished. It slices it, uploads the images, adds links and alt text, and builds a drag-and-drop template your team edits in Klaviyo, Omnisend or Mailchimp, looking exactly like the design.
- Choose an HTML builder if every email is built from a shared system and edited as code. Choose Carvr if your designers work freely, designs come from more than one tool, or the team works in the ESP’s own editor.

Emailify
Emailify, by Hypermatic, is a component library and HTML exporter with 500+ components and 20+ templates, and it counts 137,000+ plugin installs (Emailify). You design with its components, which use Figma’s Auto Layout, and its docs are direct about the limit. Emailify does not support Figma email designs created outside the plugin, so an existing design is rebuilt in Emailify first.
In Klaviyo, it uploads a saved HTML template, which its guide has you open in Klaviyo’s code editor and save. An Editable Content option makes the blocks editable in a campaign, and the same guide warns that Klaviyo then adds about 18px of padding around each text element, which Outlook keeps unless every block’s padding is set back to 0 by hand. Emailify also uploads to Mailchimp and Omnisend among its 40+ platform workflows.
Pro is $49 per user a month, or $499 per user a year (Hypermatic pricing). The free plan lets you design without limits and try exports and platform uploads during 10 Pro trials, and GIF uploads need Pro (Emailify plans).
Email Love
Email Love builds MJML-based HTML from its own components, and its docs say the plugin only works with designs built using Email Love components. For an existing design, its AI Import turns a screenshot, PNG or Figma component into an editable Email Love frame, and says plainly that it won’t be pixel perfect, as fonts, buttons and spacing may differ.
Its Klaviyo export is HTML only. Email Love used to support Klaviyo’s drag-and-drop builder and dropped it because it broke custom HTML, and each export creates a new template in Klaviyo. The export list has 40 destinations, including Mailchimp. The plans run from Free (5 HTML exports a month) to Starter at $19 per user a month (10 exports) and Growth at $59 per user a month (unlimited exports), with yearly discounts.
Carvr
Carvr doesn’t ask you to design a certain way. Select the frame in the Carvr Figma plugin, or upload one PNG or JPG from Photoshop, Canva or anything else. Carvr finds the cuts (you can move any of them, and split a row into up to four columns), compresses each image, adds links from your Figma prototype or the brand’s default, writes alt text, and builds a native drag-and-drop template in Klaviyo, or a template in Omnisend or Mailchimp.
Because every section is an image of the design, the template looks exactly like what was designed, with no padding to fix. Text-only sections can go as live Klaviyo or Omnisend text with live text blocks, GIFs stay animated, and when the design changes, an update goes into the same template. Every plan has unlimited users and brands, and you pay per email design.
The honest trade-off is text. Words inside an image section are part of the image, so a copy change goes back through the design, and an email made mostly of long-form text is better built as HTML or in the ESP.
When an HTML builder is the better choice
- Your team builds every email from one shared component system, and wants it that way.
- You want real text in every section, edited in code or by copywriters after export.
- You send from a platform Carvr doesn’t connect to, since their HTML goes almost anywhere.
- Only one or two people design, so per-user pricing stays small.
When Carvr is the better choice
- Designers lay out each email freely, with photography, type on images and custom layouts, and the result has to match the design exactly.
- Designs arrive finished, from Figma, Photoshop, Canva or a client’s JPG.
- Your team, or your client’s, works in Klaviyo’s drag-and-drop editor and shouldn’t touch code.
- Several people send email designs for several brands, so pricing per email design with unlimited users costs less than a seat each.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Carvr and Emailify?
Emailify is a Figma plugin for designing emails from its own components and exporting them as coded HTML. Carvr takes a finished design, made any way, slices it into image sections and builds a native drag-and-drop template in Klaviyo, Omnisend or Mailchimp. Emailify gives you live text everywhere. Carvr keeps the design exactly as it was made, with no rebuild.
Can Emailify or Email Love convert an existing Figma email design?
As of October 2026, Emailify’s docs say it does not support Figma email designs created outside the plugin, so an existing design is rebuilt with its components first. Email Love’s docs say it only works with designs built from Email Love components, and its AI Import can recreate a screenshot or PNG as an editable frame, which it says won’t be pixel perfect. Carvr works from the existing design as it is.
Do Emailify and Email Love work with Klaviyo’s drag-and-drop editor?
Email Love exports to Klaviyo as HTML only; its docs say it used to support the drag-and-drop builder and stopped. Emailify uploads an HTML template, and its Editable Content option makes blocks editable in a campaign, with Klaviyo’s added padding set back to 0 by hand. Carvr builds a native drag-and-drop template.
Which is cheaper for a team?
Emailify and Email Love are priced per user, so a team of five on Emailify Pro is $245 a month and on Email Love Growth is $295 a month at their October 2026 monthly prices. Carvr is priced per email design with unlimited users, from $48 a month for 30 email designs or $118 for 100. Which costs less depends on how many people design and how many email designs you send.
Which of these tools work with Omnisend?
Carvr sends to Omnisend as a native template. Emailify can upload to Omnisend through its API or export a ZIP. Omnisend isn’t in Email Love’s export list as of October 2026.
